This one day course will outline the importance of food safety procedures, risk assessment and safe food handling alongside the legal responsibilities of food handlers and business operators. Learners will know the importance of personal hygiene and its role in reducing the risk of contamination and be able to describe safe food handling procedures for storing, preparing, cooking, chilling, reheating, holding, serving and transporting food.
